These are the specs to my PC: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1, 4 GB RAM, AMD Athlon II X2 3.1Ghz I can open it, choose updates to install, etc., but when I click Install, the 'wuauclt.exe' process opens, then immediately closes and Windows Update returns to the screen where I select updates to install. Ever since then, the 'wuauclt.exe' process has been opening and closing non-stop for the past 2 days. I don't think it did because I see the same update is still listed as 'available' even though I already said install it.
I don't know if it ever finished installing the update It was another definition update for Windows Defender (KB915957). So I went to Windows Update and clicked install update. A few days ago I got a message saying there were new updates available.
